About us

The ETF Research Center is the online resource for financial advisors and individual investors from AltaVista Independent Research. AltaVista was founded in February 2004 to provide unique research on the rapidly growing number of exchange traded funds.

	Our approach We take a fundamentally different approach to ETFs. This allows you to evaluate funds based on investment merit, not just past performance.
	Our research We offer several different types of ETF research, both in print and online—a complete set of tools to help you find the right funds for your clients.
	ALTAR™ score The AltaVista Long Term Annual Return forecast, or ALTAR™ score is our proprietary measure of an ETFs long term investment merit.
	Coverage list We cover roughly 2/3rds of ETF assets listed in the U.S., across every category: broad domestic funds, sector funds, and international funds.
